First steps towards characterizing the hierarchical algorithm for curves and ridges pipeline

چکیده
The hierarchical algorithm for curves and ridges is a variation of the burst gravitational wave search algorithm known as TFClusters. In this paper, we examine the detection efficiency of the hierarchical algorithm for curves and ridges by injecting sine-Gaussian burst waveforms with four different central frequencies into data acquired by the GEO600 gravitational wave detector during the S1 run. The fluctuation of the output signal-to-noise ratios was observed to be ∼5% for frequencies above 1.5 kHz and at least 15% for frequencies below 1.5 kHz. The uncertainty in the estimation of the arrival time is found to be less than 0.05 s. PACS numbers: 07.05.Kf, 04.80.Nn

متن کاملGenetic Algorithm-based Optimization Procedures to Find the Constants of Johnson-Cook Constitutive Equation
Johnson-Cook constitutive equation is one of the most famous constitutive equations that have ever been developed to model the hot deformation flow curves of different materials. This equation is a predefined model in the traditional finite element codes to describe the material behavior in applications such as simulating the manufacturing processes. In this work, two different genetic algorith...

In this article a new method is introduced for distinguishing roots and background based on their digital curvelet transform in minirhizotron images. In the proposed method, the nonlinear mapping is applied on sub-band curvelet components followed by boundary detection using energy optimization concept. The curvelet transform has the excellent capability in detecting roots with different orient...
متن کاملMODELING THE HOT DEFORMATION FLOW CURVES OF API X65 PIPELINE STEEL USING THE POWER LAW EQUATION
Till now, different constitutive models have been applied to model the hot deformation flow curves of different materials. In this research, the hot deformation flow stress of API X65 pipeline steel was modeled using the power law equation with strain dependent constants. The results was compared with the results of the other previously examined constitutive equations including the Arrhenius eq...
